All participating teams should register online by going to the website and following the "Application Form" link.

Elevator Pitch Competition Details
Teams should plan on preparing a two-minute standalone presentation of their business idea or concept. All team members are encouraged to attend the event, however all team members do not need be part of the presentation at the event and may nominate 1-2 members to present on the teams behalf. The presentation will be interactive, with the judges asking questions after the presentation.
Teams will be presenting to 2 judges at a time, in a lecture theatre and should expect other competitors and members of the public to be in the audience when making their presentation.
Under no circumstances will teams be allowed more than two minutes to present their idea. Teams should be advised that their time is limited so they shouldn't spend too much time showing off a prototype at the expense of presenting the entire business idea or concept.
Teams will be required to present their elevator pitches on the 15th-16th October, 2001. As the event approaches, teams will be emailed with their time slot. Teams are requested to arrive at the lecture theatre before all presentations commence and not to leave until after the final presentation is concluded. Teams are encouraged to invite others to attend this event as spectators and supporters.

Judging and Finals
From the general rounds 10 groups will be selected to compete in the Final's round to be held on Friday 19th October, 2001.
Finalists will present their plans in front of a judging panel and a live audience in a Lecture theatre before the awards ceremony. Teams will present their plan to the final judging panel and the public. In addition to the prize given by the judging panel the audience will vote for the People's Choice Award based on these presentations. The guidelines are 2 minutes for the presentation followed by 5 minutes for Questions and Answers.
